Learn the traditional skills of Hand Engraving

Work with our engraving tutor to learn the fundamentals of good engraving practice from line to curves and all in between, by the end of the class you will be adding flourishes to your jewellery using this traditional skill.
During the class the tutor will demonstrate many different styles of lines and cuts with the graver.
The tutor responds to a student’s abilities and helps develop those skills. During the class you work predominantly in copper as it is a very suitable medium for engraving by hand, then as the skills improve during the class students have the opportunity to finish working on a silver pendant. Throughout the class students are given feedback and tips to improve as you go throughout the day and there is also a healthy dose of encouragement.
